This course qualifies you for the handling of nautical motorcycles without power limit and pleasure boats up to 6 meters in length, as long as they have an adequate engine power according to the manufacturer's specifications. Navigation will be limited to daylight hours and must be done within a radius of 2 nautical miles from any port, marina or place of shelter.

Timetable
Playaventura Gijón offers sailing license courses all year round, in summer there are groups almost every day, both in the mornings and in the afternoons. If you are several people we can make a closed group for you any day of the year at any time.
programme
- Theory in navigation: You will learn about the restrictions on buoyed and unbuoyed beaches, use of access channels, maritime traffic regulations and inland navigation in ports. You will also learn about the lateral marks of Region A and techniques to steer the boat avoiding rolling and pitching, as well as the importance of not getting stuck in the sea.
- International Regulations to Prevent Collisions: Rules 4 to 8, 11 to 19 and 37 will be studied, including Annex IV.
- Portable VHF radio: Basic notions on the use of channel 16 in emergency situations, routine communications and how to contact Maritime Rescue (channel 16, telephones 112 and 900 202 202) will be taught.
- Safety on board: Handling of safety equipment, review of critical points of the boat and pre-departure checks.
- Propulsion: Identification of the elements of the propulsion system, starting the engine and checking its operation.
- Rigging: Practice with basic ropes and knots.
- Maneuvers in port: Mooring and unmooring in the dock, respecting the safety speed.
- Anchoring and anchor turning: Anchoring techniques and precautions with bathers and divers.
- Safety maneuvers: Practical exercises to act in unforeseen situations.

Do not forget
- Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the activity.
- If you are prone to seasickness, it is recommended to take a biodramine pill about an hour before boarding.
Instructions when buying a gift voucher
