Do you feel like going out to catch some waves but the day is windless? Do you like canoeing but feel like something new? If you answered yes to at least one of these questions, your sport is paddle surfing, a recently created water sport that is closely linked to surfing. Also known as stand up paddle surfing (SUP), this sport consists of standing on a board that is larger and more stable than a surfboard, while carrying a single-bladed paddle to navigate the sea, lakes or estuaries. Its main advantage is that you can go out to sea without the need for wind or waves that day, as they are not essential as in surfing, although, if they appear, you can also surf with the same table, enjoy alone or with your friends for a walk in the sea.

Timetable
June, July, August and September departures from 10:00 to 21:30. Rest of the year departures from 11:00 to 20:00.
Activity details
- Location: Puerto Deportivo de Gijón (c/ Claudio Alvar González, 34 - Rotonda del Rompeolas) - Children can ride as companions from 12 years old. The minimum age to drive is from 17 years old with parental authorization.
