Visit in which we show you Gijón/Xixón between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries through our augmented reality application. Tour (with the support of the Augmented Reality application): 1 Stop Campo Valdés: Spas: Gijón/Xixón was a quality tourist reference in the 19th century due to its spa facilities. It even had 4 bathing centers. Walk through the San Lorenzo sandy area, contemplating La Escalerona. 2 Stop Ciudadela: Ciudadela de Celestino Solar: a group of substandard housing for the urban proletariat from the late nineteenth century and characterized by its small space and lack of sanitation. It ended up surrounded by bourgeois housing. 3 Campinos de Begoña stop: In Begoña the charangas, parades and parades of L'Antroxu, the Asturian name for the Carnival festivities, gather every year. The church of San Lorenzo, the Paseo de Begoña, Jovellanos Theater, heir of the old Dindurra, are resources to contemplate in this third stop. 4 Stop Antigua Escuela de Comercio: Building of the early twentieth century modernist style, near the Plaza del Instituto, and the old Institute of Jovellanos. 5 Stop at La Merced Street and Modernism: A reflection of the economic prosperity in Asturias in the 20th century that favored the growth of the bourgeoisie and the development of a new architectural style. 6 Stop Jardines de la Reina-sardineres: The visit of the queen mother Doña Cristina de Habsburgo and her son, the future king of Spain Don Alfonso XIII and the princess of Asturias in 1900 made the city was adorned.
