Visit through the industrial past with an accessible walk from the Roman Gijón/Xixón and the old fishing port to the Asturias Railway Museum Route: 1 Stop Plaza del Marqués: Salted fish industry active during the Lower Empire (3rd and 4th centuries). Entrance to the exhibition "Orto y Ocaso" in the Revillagigedo Palace on the history of glass and earthenware in Gijón/Xixón in the 18th to 20th centuries. 2 Stop at Jardines de la Reina: The reason for the construction of the port of Musel due to the industrializing impulse during the 19th century. Relevant figures in this development. 3 Stop Poniente Beach: Place of settlement of timber companies, the shipyards of Naval Gijón and iron foundries.
