Do you like modernist style buildings? If so, come with us and we will take you on a tour of the main modernist buildings in the city that will transport you to a scenario in which the bourgeoisie, enriched by financial and commercial activities, left their mark on the architecture of the city.
We will meet to begin the visit at Las Letronas, in the marina and we will start a tour in which we have selected some of the most representative and interesting buildings that respond to a way of life marked by the bourgeoisie of Gijón.
We will walk along one of the main arteries of the city, Corrida street where we will glimpse the first elements of this style, we will introduce you to the most representative architects such as Miguel García.
We will continue along Instituto street, the famous San Lorenzo beach, the old fish market, Jove Hevia's tower, San Lorenzo chapel, Cabrales street, Plaza del Instituto, Parchí, Jovellón's old institute, the old institute of Jovellón, the old school of Jovellón, the old church of San Lorenzo, the old church of San Lorenzo, the old chapel of San Lorenzo, the old church of San Lorenzo and the old church of San Lorenzo.s, old institute of Jovellanos, Berenguer house, Basilica of the Sacred Heart, old school of commerce, and of course, we will see the Escalerona, Capua, to finish in the Citadel Celestino solar and knowing a little more the modernist Gijón.
