Paula, la guía, hizo un recorrido muy ameno y bien explicado. Sabe un montón y demuestra mucha pasión por el Modernismo.
Nos sorprendio gratamente visita del modernismo en Gijon
Fue una visita turística por la ciudad, como las otras que hicimos. Lo del Gijón Goloso se ciñe a que pruebas un carbayón y un helado. Es más una ruta por varios edificios "emblemáticos" hablando del estilo de las fachadas. El tema goloso lo vimos más bien poco o nada. Que son datos curiosos y que aprendes cosas sí, pero no deja de ser un paseo largo por las calles de Gijón. Los guías cuentan lo mismo según qué, y deberían no hablar tan deprisa porque había momentos que no se le entendía lo que decía. Aún así mereció la pena.

Route through the most representative buildings of the early twentieth century modernism in Gijón combined with the most delicious Gijón/Xixón.
In the Gijón/Xixón of 1900, immersed in a dynamic of development in all areas, both from the economic, commercial, industrial, financial, demographic, social, urban, touristic and cultural point of view, the emerging bourgeoisieand cultural, the emerging bourgeoisie will seek to leave a clear mark of its presence and its aspirations. And it will do so, among other mechanisms, by using architecture, as well as the urban remodeling of the city's main streets.
Within this framework, modernist forms found a field of expansion.
We will go through an itinerary with a small selection of the most interesting modernist buildings in Gijón: Calles Jovellanos, Instituto, Cabrales, Plazuela San Miguel, Plaza de Europa, Corrida.
We will take advantage of our walk through the streets of the city center to visit the confectioneries, chocolate and ice cream shops that are part of Gijón Goloso and taste their specialties.
